US Presidential Election Begins, Rain Hits Several States
JAKARTA - Several states that became the main battleground were hit by strong cold waves on the day of the United States (US) elections which caused heavy rains and storms.
Reported by CNN, Tuesday, November 5, heavy rains fell from eastern Texas to the Missouri-Illinois border, including St. Louis. Slow-moving storms also occur in the same region, triggering flood warnings.
How many of these warnings report that 3-8 inches of rainfall has fallen overnight.
Although rainfall will continue to move slowly to the east, falling rain can affect voters in the morning who try to get out to vote.
The storm will continue to point east, bringing heavy rains to Minnesota and the state of Wisconsin and Michigan which are the battlefields south to Louisiana.
Rainfall was recorded to reduce the number of voters in the previous election.
