1 Month Of Operation, West Jakarta Police Reveal 30 Drug Cases With 40 Suspects

JAKARTA - During October, the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit managed to arrest 40 suspects out of 30 drug cases.

Of the 30 cases, the police confiscated evidence including 1.8 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 13.2 kilograms of marijuana, 1.59 grams of synthetic tobacco, 2 pills of ecstasy, and 10 psychotropic pills.

"We will continue to develop this case, in the hope of uncovering international drug networks," said Deputy Head of Drug Investigation at the West Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Jordanus when confirmed, Tuesday, November 5.

This arrest is the result of the team's hard work for a full month. A number of these disclosures are based on reports from the public, investigations and supervision in the field.

According to Kompol Jordan, his party will continue to develop in order to create a drug-free environment, as well as strive to break the chain of international drug networks.

"We have secured several areas in Jakarta. We are now focusing on uncovering a larger network," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a man with the initials HB (45), a suspected drug courier of methamphetamine type, was arrested by the Tamansari Metro Police when he was about to smuggle into the Jakarta area.

HB is a drug courier from a cross-provincial network from West Aceh. When arrested, the police confiscated 1/2 kilograms of methamphetamine.
