KUPANG - The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) has raised the status of Mount Lewotobi Laki in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) from level III Alert to Level IV Alert starting November 3 at 24.00 WITA until Monday, November 4 morning.
"The status increase is based on the results of the evaluation of the activities of Mount Lewotobi Male for the period 23 October 3 November 2024 at 18.00 WITA," said P Hadi Wijaya, Head of PVMBG P Hadi Wijaya in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 4.
He said, based on the results of visual and instrumental monitoring, there was a significant increase in volcanic activity on Mount Lewotobi Laki.
