Communication and Digital (Komdigi) Provides Assistance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs / UMKM) to Adopt Digital Technology

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria admitted that he helped provide assistance, preparing digital infrastructure and talent so that digital technology adoption in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) was more equitable.

"We also provide an mentoring side, and collaborate with several institutions for Level Up MSMEs. There is also a workshop program, 1on1 business coaching (business guidance) training to strengthen the MSME business plan," said Nezar Patria as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, November 3.

The government continues to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt digital technology in order to boost the national economy and compete globally. According to the Deputy Minister of Communication and Trade of the Nezar, MSMEs can take advantage of digital technology to increase efficiency and productivity.

"Digitalization is not only about technology, but also about creating an ecosystem that supports the growth of MSMEs. Through these steps, we hope that Indonesian MSMEs can compete at the global level and contribute more significantly to the national economy," said Nezar.

Currently in Indonesia, there are 67 million MSME players who absorb 97 percent of employment opportunities and contribute up to 61 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Nezar also supports the strategic steps of digitizing MSMEs through "3 Go" namely Go Modern, Go Digital, and Go Online which is initiated by the BUMN Creative House.

Go modern focuses on modernizing MSME activities, such as imaging and managing simple businesses.

Go digital focuses on utilizing digital applications and automating business processes.

Meanwhile, Go online aims to maximize digital technology, such as social media advertisements to the use of local market and websites.

According to Nezar, the adoption of digital technology in MSMEs will be able to increase the reach to the global market.

"The new strategy, the adoption of digital technology including MSMEs. This can be an advantage, increasing the reach of the market, so, borderless (without limits)," said Nezar.
