Alwi Farhan Wins Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024 In Surabaya
SURABAYA 'Indonesian men's singles badminton player, Alwi Farhan, won the title in the Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024 tournament which took place in Surabaya, Sunday, November 3. Alwi, who is also the 2023 Junior World Champion, managed to beat Malaysia's representative, Sholeh Aidil, with a convincing score of 21-10, 21-9 in the final match.
Alwi expressed his gratitude for this victory and thanked various parties who have supported him so far, including families who always provide motivation. "Today was very emotional for me because the long wait to become a champion was finally achieved," said Alwi in an official statement from PP PBSI.
In that match, Alwi admitted to preparing carefully and trying to stay focused throughout the match. He also realized that every player had the same chance to win, so he tried not to make his own mistakes.
Facing Sholeh Aidil, Alwi admitted that the match was not easy, even though he managed to maintain his best performance and continued the positive trend when he met the Malaysian representative. "My game pattern is going well, and the opponent hasn't changed much strategy, so I can win," explained Alwi.

This victory is an important achievement for Alwi, who last climbed the highest podium at the 2023 Junior World Championships. For him, this result is the fruit of hard work in training and is a provision for transition to a higher level of competition. "This title is very important for me to adapt to the adult level and become a provision to compete at a higher level," he added.
After the victory at the Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024, Alwi plans to immediately prepare for the BWF Super 500 tournament, the 2024 Kumamoto Masters, in Japan. Alwi, who previously also won the 2023 Indonesia International Challenge in Medan, hopes to continue the positive trend.
"I have one week to prepare myself. I want to rearrange my focus and fight harder so I can go further in Japan," concluded Alwi.
