Thin Loss To AC Milan, Nesta Is Angry And Calls The Referee "Disruption Of Football"
JAKARTA Coach Monza, Alessandro Nesta, expressed his anger at referee Ermano Feliciani's decision which was considered detrimental to his team in the match against AC Milan on Saturday 2 November or Sunday morning WIB. Monza lost 0-1 to Milan through a mere goal of Tijjani Reijnders in the 43rd minute.
Monza appeared dominant in the first half and managed to create several golden opportunities. The home team even scored through Dany Mota Carvalho's half-volley, but the goal was disallowed because the referee considered Warren Bondo's push against Theo Hernandez during the goal.
"We feel angry, but at the same time proud of the players. We had two good performances against Atalanta and Milan. We should have scored four goals in the first half, but only one goal was scored and that was not passed," Nesta told Sky Sport Italia.
Disappointment of Decisions without VAR Review
At the moment of the foul on Hernandez, the referee initially let the game continue. However, then he blew the whistle stopping the game without conducting a VAR review first. Nesta thinks the decision undermines the essence of the game of football which should be simpler.

"They make football very complicated. It's a sport with physical contact, but now all small touches are punished, thin offsides are considered violating, and players have to duel with their hands on their back so they don't have the potential for penalties," said Nesta, who once played for Lazio and AC Milan.
He emphasized the importance of adjusting regulations so as not to eliminate the essence of physical contact in football. "I believe the referee must adapt to this sport, not the other way around," said Nesta.
As a result of this defeat, Monza is still stuck in the red zone, occupying 18th place in the standings with eight points. In the next Serie A match, Monza will face Lazio, a former club that Nesta has long defended, on 11 November.
