President Prabowo Goes to South Papua to Review Food Security PSN
JAYAPURA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto made his first working visit to Merauke, South Papua Province, to see firsthand the national strategic program (PSN) for food security and community empowerment in the region.
In a press release received by ANTARA in Jayapura, Sunday, it was stated that President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the J. A. Dimara Air Force Base Ops on Sunday at around 06.30 WIT using the Presidential VVIP aircraft and was welcomed by the Commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Command, Danrem 174/ATW, Acting Governor of South Papua, Rudy Sufahriadi.
According to the schedule, President Prabowo's working visit while in Merauke was to review Telaga Sari Village, Kurik District.
During his visit to Telaga Sari Village, President Prabowo Subianto used a helicopter accompanied by the Acting Governor of South Papua Rudy Sufahriadi and the Regional Secretary of South Papua, Maddaremmeng.
The president's visit to Telaga Sari to see firsthand the national strategic program to support food security, then received a presentation from the Minister of Agriculture about the food security program in Telagasari, and met face to face with the local village community.
Next, President Prabowo headed to Wogikel Village, Wanam, Ilwayab District, Merauke Regency by helicopter.
The visit to Wanam was also to see firsthand the progress of the national strategic program to support food security and realize Merauke as a national food barn while reviewing community activities in Wanam.
After Telaga Sari and Wanam Village, President Prabowo flew back by helicopter to the J. A. Dimara Air Force Base Ops and then continued his journey back to Jakarta.
The entourage accompanying President Prabowo Subianto were Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Acting Governor of South Papua Rudi Sufahriadi, and technical Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD).
