The Majority Of British Society Calls Israel A War Criminal In Gaza

JAKARTA - The survey, which was commissioned by Action for Humanity and conducted by the YouGov research institute, found that more than half of Britons across the political spectrum believed Israel's actions in the war in Gaza were war crimes.

This figure has increased to three out of five among supporters of the Labor Party, which currently holds power in the United Kingdom, according to the poll.

About 76 percent of the Labor Party voters also continue to support the end of the arms transfer to Israel, according to the poll.

Meanwhile, the total number of Britons who will oppose the ban is lower than one in five, compared to three in five who will support one.

The majority of people feel the government is not doing enough to stop war crimes. The majority of society demands that the British government immediately stop all arms transfers to Israel, not just 10%, and take all measures to realize a sustainable ceasefire, "said Charles Lawley, director of communications and advocacy at Action for Humanity.

"We believe that, unless the British government stops ignoring society, they will become powerless in the atrocities committed in Gaza and Lebanon [and] the worst will be accomplices to these atrocities," he concluded.
