Lampung Deputy Governor Candidate Agrees to Increase Accessibility for the Disabled
JAKARTA - Lampung Deputy Governor Candidate Number 01 Sutono and 02 Jihan Nurlela both agree that one of the social problems that must be a priority is increasing accessibility for people with disabilities.
"One of the social problems that must be addressed is accessibility for people with disabilities," said Jihan as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, November 3.
According to her, in increasing accessibility for people with disabilities, there must be government policies that can truly touch or be felt by them.
"For our friends with disabilities, we must implement policies that are based on the principle of justice for them so that accessibility can be evenly distributed for people with disabilities," she said.
Jihan said that other social problems that must be a priority are gender equality and violence against children.
"If elected as Governor and Deputy Governor of Lampung, Mirza-Jihan will loudly guard women's rights. Then encourage and guard districts and cities to become child-friendly cities (KLA)," she said.
Meanwhile, Sutono agreed with the problem of increasing accessibility for people with disabilities.
"Of the three priority social issues that Mba Jihan prioritizes, the one that is most relevant to Lampung is the issue of increasing accessibility for the disabled, I agree with that," he said.
However, he continued, the other most important thing that must be a priority for future leaders is the problem of poverty and unemployment.
"Indeed, priority must be taken. The issue of poverty must be given the main handling, how to reduce it, then unemployment, young people must be given training and so on," he said.
The Lampung KPU held the second public debate for the gubernatorial and vice gubernatorial candidate pair number 01 Arinal Djunaidi-Sutono and number 02 Rahmat Mirzani Djausal-Jihan Nurlela with the theme "Law, Government and Socio-Culture".
