Granada Vs MU: Solskjaer Hasn't Decided Rashford To Play Since The Start
JAKARTA - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has not yet decided whether Marcus Rashford will play from the start when Manchester United face Granada in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals at the Nuevo Los Carmenes Stadium in Spain on Friday morning.
Rashford made just 72 appearances when MU beat Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League last weekend, raising concerns among Red Devils fans that their striker was again at risk of injury.
However, Solskjaer made sure Rashford was fit enough for the training session and flew to Spain to be in the squad against Granada.
"Marcus is in the squad and we will decide tomorrow whether he plays from the start or from the bench, but I don't think he will play the full 90 minutes," Solskjaer told Antara on MU's official website.
"Marcus is in pretty good shape, he trained this morning and could be selected to play either as a substitute or from the start," he added.
In addition, MU also got another injection of good news with the return of Juan Mata and Alex Telles following a training session after missing the game against Brighton.
"Juan is back in training, also Alex, I think our condition is now stronger than ever. We didn't lose anyone compared to last weekend against Brighton," Solskjaer said.
MU got a relatively easy quarter-final draw considering this was Granada's furthest move in European club competition.
If they can get past Granada, MU will face the winner of the quarter-final match between Ajax and AS Roma in the semi-finals.
