Erajaya Profit Grows 107 Percent Amid Pandemic, Indonesians Still 'Thirsty' Gadgets
JAKARTA - Mobile phone distributor company, PT Erajaya Swasembada, Tbk recorded outstanding performance growth in 2020. Eraa's share-coded issuers managed to experience profit growth for the parent entity of 107.4 percent (year on year/yoy) and revenue increase of 3.5 percent yoy.
Quoted from Erajaya's financial report, Thursday 8 April, they recorded profit growth in the current year attributable to owners of the parent entity of 107.4 percent yoy from Rp295.1 billion in 2019 to Rp612 billion in 2020.
In addition, Erajaya also recorded sales growth of 3.5 percent yoy from Rp32.9 trillion in 2019 to Rp34.1 trillion in 2020. Vice President Director of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk, Hasan Aula said that the company managed to maintain the momentum of performance in 2020.
"This is seen from the increase in net profit of Rp612.0 billion or grew more than 2-fold compared to last year which reached Rp295.1 billion," said Hasan.
He said that the company also sees the momentum of smartphone sales and its ecosystem is still quite positive. It was driven by increased interest in electronic products and other technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT).
Erajaya has also prepared a number of company strategies to drive performance this year, namely building omni channel capabilities by utilizing digital technology, such as O2O initiatives, mobile selling, EraExpress services, Click'n Pick-Up, online-based promotional programs of e-commerce platforms and official stores in the marketplace.
Erajaya also plans to expand its retail footprint so that the total outlets reach 1,053 stores, 88 distribution channels and cooperation with more than 65,000 resellers.
