Mitsubishi To Launch Two Model Segment C SUVs In Europe Next Year
JAKARTA - Mitsubishi announced its continuation in expanding products in Europe by immediately introducing its second model in segment C which will launch in 2025.
The interesting thing is that this model will be offered with a powertrain of pure gasoline (ICE) and hybrid (HEV) engines. In addition, this SUV-shaped car has advanced safety technology with connectivity from Google.
"With a two-path approach to the largest segment in Europe (C-SUV), we will offer a complete series of electrified powertrains to cover various price points and customer needs," said Mitsubishi Motors Europe President & CEO Frank Krol on the brand's official website, Friday, November 1.
The introduction of these two types of models will come in 2025, following the launch ofANGel and ASX last year as well as PHEV Outlanders that have been launched this year. The total number of new all-new models launching in the period 2023 to 2025 is five vehicles.
Along with PHEV's Outlander, the SUV is expected to be the backbone of a very competitive series of electrification-based models. Now, this manufacturer with the logo of three diamonds has a line of Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), and Battery Electric Vehicles globally.

Please note, these two models will be assembled at the European factory owned by Groupe Renault. That means, the SUV will use the same base as Renault's model sold on the blue continent.
This is not the first time the Japanese manufacturer has taken a base from Renault. Previously, Mitsubishi launched ASX which uses a base from Renault Captur. This one car also comes with a choice of electric vehicle (HEV) hybrids with 1.6 liter engines combined with dual electric motors and 1.2 kWh batteries.
Last year, the brand also launched its newest Renault Clio-based total. The hatchback is equipped with the same engine and hybrid system as
