Chery Indonesia Exports Omoda 5 to Vietnam for the First Time, Targeting 5,000 Units per Year
JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) marked a new step in the global market by starting exports of left-hand drive Omoda 5 cars to Vietnam from Indonesia. The annual export target is set at 5,000 units, as expressed by Vice President of Chery International, Chen Chunqing, at a ceremony at Cikarang Dry Port, Friday, November 1.
"Our target for exports to Vietnam is 5,000 units in a year," he said optimistically.
As an initial step, 120 units of the Omoda 5 SUV were sent in the first batch. Chen is confident that the futuristic design, tough performance, and sophisticated features carried by the Omoda 5 will attract consumers in Vietnam.
"We are confident that the Omoda 5 will be well received by Vietnamese consumers," he added.
However, Chen did not provide specific details regarding the differences in this left-hand drive model. He only emphasized that each market has its own specifications. "It is difficult to compare specifications directly because there are differences for each country," he explained.
