Bayern Vs PSG: Mbappe Is Hooked On Neuer's Goal And Doesn't Feel Any Pressure

JAKARTA - Kylian Mbappe seemed hooked on a goal against Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer after his two goals helped Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-2 win in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday local time (Thursday WIB).

Mbappe scored PSG's first goal in the third minute with an unstoppable shot by Neuer, before sealing Le Parisiens' victory in the 68th minute with a shot that completely put Neuer off the pace.

The 22-year-old admitted he did not suffer any pressure despite failing to score against Neuer when they met in last season's Champions League final which ended in a win by Bayern.

"I love facing the best players in the world and Manuel Neuer is one of the greatest goalkeepers in history," he said after the match reported by Antara from UEFA's official website.

'I don't feel any pressure. It's true I didn't score against Neuer in the last final, but I hope to do it again in the next game," Mbappe added.

Victory at the Allianz Arena is clearly an important capital for PSG who will next host Bayern at the Parc des Princes for the second leg on Tuesday next week.

As in the round of 16 when they eliminated Barcelona, PSG also needed a draw at home to pave the way to the semi-finals.

'It's a great team performance and I benefited from that. But this is only halfway through the quarter-finals," Mbappe said.
