Google Releases ChromeOS 130, Here Are The Latest Features
JAKARTA Google has launched ChromeOS 130 starting October 29 to a number of Chromebook models. After several days of launch, Google has now released a changelog on what features are new.
The first feature launched on this update is the Recording app with a real-time transcript feature for all Chromebook models that support ChromeOS 130. Especially for Chromebook Plus, Google added a summary feature and title suggestions.
Google also creates a Focus feature to reduce interference and helps users to be more productive while in the workspace. When this feature is activated, users can set the time needed and activate the Don't Disturb (DND) mode.
"(You can also) choose or create a new Google Tasks and enjoy playlists of options that help you focus more on focus or YouTube Music Premium (subscription-based)," Google explained via the Chromebook help page.
Next, there is a Quick Insert feature to insert emojis, symbols, GIFs, Google Drive links, and more on keyboard buttons or keyboard shortcuts. For now, a new Quick Insert is available on the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus. Next year, this feature will be extended to other devices.

On ChromeOS 130, users can access display effects through video calling controls. This feature, which is only available for Chromebook Plus, can perfect the user's appearance when conducting regular meetings or meetings online.
In addition, there is also the Help Me Read feature based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to display text summarys. This feature also displays the Tanya Answer column which can be used to ask more specific questions about reading in the browser or Gallery.
There are still many features that Google launches on ChromeOS 130 such as New Suggestions on Tote, access to improved Google Drive, brightness control on screens and keyboards, multi-calender support, to Picture-in-Picture (PiP) windows.
