Just Out Of Prison, Former Prisoner In Batam Stabbed A Friend To Death
BATAM - A former inmate (convict) who had only been breathing fresh air for 17 hours was desperate to stab his friend while having an alcohol party in Batam City, Riau Islands. The victim died on the spot and the perpetrator has been detained.
The prisoner who had just been released from prison, Ade Dwusyah, was again arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Barelang Police after stabbing his friend Kamarul Zaman in the chest while drinking alcohol.
The stabbing incident occurred at Ruli Simpang Dam, Aceh Village, Batam City, Riau Islands on Friday last week.
The incident began when the suspect and his colleague named Nouval were having an alcohol party. The suspect, who held a grudge and was hurt, immediately poured the victim with alcoholic beverages.
Not accepting the treatment, the victim Kamarul Zaman immediately quarreled with the suspect so that the stabbing was unavoidable. The suspect got a screwdriver and machete from his colleague. He then used a screwdriver to stab the victim twice in the chest.
Kapolresta Barelang, Kombes Pol Heribertus Ompusunggu said the suspect was desperate to stab the victim for holding a grudge. At the alcohol party, the suspect poured drinks on the victim.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 338 or Article 351 Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison and Article 2 of Law Number 12 concerning the Emergency Law with a threat of 10 years in prison.
