Waze Introduces A 'Conversational Reporting' Feature To Report Incidents On The Road With Voice Orders
JAKARTA - Waze, an AI-based navigation app, is now presenting a new 'Conversational Reporting' feature that allows users to report incidents and obstacles on the road using voice commands.
With this feature, users only need to mention existing incidents or obstacles without having to touch the screen, such as "There's a mattress on the road" or "There's a traffic jam upfront." If needed, Waze can ask more for additional details, such as Can you describe what you see?
This feature can be enabled by tapping the'reporting' button and starting to talk naturally. AI Waze will understand the context and language of the conversation, so users don't need to remember special words to report incidents.

Once the report is received, the data will be immediately used to update the Waze map in real-time, providing information to other road users about the situation ahead.
This feature has been launched in beta for Android and iOS globally, but while it is only available in English. Support for other languages is expected to be available in the coming months.
In addition, Waze will also add a school zone to the map, warning users as they approach or pass through the school zone for pedestrian safety. This feature will roll out on Android and iOS later this year."
