Two Indonesian Racers Passed The 2025 Asia Talent Cup Selection

JAKARTA Two Indonesian racers will join the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup next season after being selected in a selection event at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.

The two names are Muhammad Badly Ayatullah Massorong and Nelson Caorili Ardheniansyah. The two were chosen along with eight other names to appear in the 2025 competition season.

In addition, there are eight other riders who are also added to the reserve list. They are considered the best out of 100 names who compete for the hot track on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

"The selected riders will prepare themselves for exciting new challenges during winter ahead of 2025. They will be preparing to start the Road to MotoGP journey," MotoGP wrote on their website.

In addition to the two names from Indonesia, the other names on this list represent 10 countries, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, the Philippines, and India.

This selection takes place from morning to evening local time. The team of experts assessed that the riders were led by the Dorna External Talent Promotion Director and Repsol Honda Team Manager, Alberto Puig.

In addition, 2009 GP250cc World champion, Hiroshi Aoyama, also watched carefully with the duo of rider coaches, Joan Olive and Diego Lozano.

The Asia Talent Cup is a motorcycle racing competition for young riders from Asia and Oceania. This event was held by Dorna Sport, which also runs the MotoGP competition.

ATC was first initiated in 2013, but only underwent their inaugural season in 2014. Indonesia is one of the countries that routinely has representatives in this important event.
