Before being held by Nistelrooy or the Ten Hag era, the Red Devils only scored three goals against the Premier League team. It can only be done once when they beat Southampton 3-0.

In total, there are 11 matches this season that Manchester United have gone through against the Premier League team in all competitions, namely the English League, Carabao Cup, and Community Shield.
In four of those 11 matches, the Red Devils could not score. The other four could only score one goal and the rest could score more than one goal.
According to Nistelrooy, before he was in control, Manchester United should have scored a lot of goals. However, the final finish in the Erik ten Hag era was a serious problem.
"There were five goals created in West Ham's match against Fenerbahce (Manchester United only scored two goals in those two matches)."
"We created so many against West Ham and Fenerbahce, but couldn't finish it."
"Suddenly we had a bit of luck (against Leicester). It made the night great," said Nistelrooy.
"It's always a target to react and attack. The reactions of the players after Leicester's goal were very good and they deserved praise. I'm glad the audience came home happily," he said again.
After the match, the fans sang Van Nistelrooy's name as he approached Stretford End to praise the team's efforts.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag was sacked on Monday, October 28, 2024, when the team slumped in 14th place in the Premier League standings, only one position ahead and two points from Leicester.
Manchester United are six-time Carabao Cup winners. The last time they lifted the trophy was in 2022/2023 with Ten Hag as coach.
They will continue their Premier League run at home to Chelsea this weekend.
