JAKARTA - Bayern Munich right-back Benjamin Pavard has many friends at Paris Saint-Germain, the club he will face in the first leg of the Champions League round of 8 on Thursday, April 8.

The Frenchman at Bayern Munich is quite a lot. In addition to Pavard, there are Lucas Hernandez, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman, Bouna Sarr, and Tanguy Nianzou.

They will face off against their compatriots when PSG take to the pitch at the Allianz Arena. One of the players in question is Kylian Mbappe.

'He's a world-class player. He's my friend, but (today) he's going to be an opponent. But other players can also make a difference," Pavard said reported from Tz on Wednesday.

"It's (the odds) 50-50, two big teams. We have to give answers on the field and stay focused," he continued.

When asked if last season's Champions League final was a topic of conversation during the last international break, Pavard said that it did not appear and France were only focused on cooperation as part of the national team.

"We didn't really talk about it because we had an important game with the national team," Pavard said.

'For them, it's going to be like revenge because we've won the final. But we are very calm and want to get two wins (legs 1 and 2)," Pavard said.
