7 People Died During Construction Of The Pier On Hatta Island, Maluku Collapsed
The joint SAR team from the Banda SAR Post, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku, has evacuated seven victims who died as a result of being crushed by dock material with concrete construction on Hatta Island which collapsed last Wednesday.
"Two of the victims who died were immediately handed over to their families on Hatta Island," said Head of the Ambon Basarnas Search and Rescue Office, Muhamad Arafah, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 31.
Meanwhile, the other five victims had been evacuated by the joint SAR team to the Banda Island Hospital for an autopsy and then waited for instructions to be handed over to the family.
Seven victims died as a result of the collapse of the pier on Hatta Island, including a former member of the Maluku DPRD for the 2019-2024 period on behalf of Ruslan Hurasan.
Ruslan is the head of the winning team for the regent-mayor Central Maluku candidate number three Andi Munazwir-Tina Elma Tetelepta who will carry out campaign activities on the island.
Another victim on behalf of Andan Teja Nurbati who is a member of the Central Maluku Regency DPRD for the period 2024-2029, Amrin Laka, Musbai Raharulun, Wa Salina Ladjama Husin Sama, and Hamim.
In addition, there were dozens of victims who suffered minor and serious injuries in the accident.

The incident occurred after the victims and residents went up to the pier to pick up a group of Candidates for Regent-Deputy Regent Andi-Tina.
However, suddenly the center of the Hatta Island pier collapsed and everyone fell into the sea, causing seven people to die.
