In Order Not To Disturb The Road, Pramono Wants To Create A Special Roadbike Route Around Soetta Airport
JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung has a discourse to create a special track or lane that facilitates road bike cyclists in exercising if they win the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
The special road bike lane will be made around Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) which is administratively located in Tangerang City, Banten.
"Imagine if we then make (paths) around Soekarno-Hatta airports, then it will be a real place for road bikes, extraordinary," Pramono said at the Repro declaration event in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 30 evening.
For the record, there have been several cases of road bike users who interfered with the road, for example entering the fast lane on Jalan Sudirman to the Casablanca non-toll flyover (JLNT). There have also been road bike cyclists driving outside the bicycle lane and viral on social media.
According to Pramono, road bikes do not fit across bicycle lanes placed on the sides of motorized vehicles such as existing ones. Thus, road bike users are considered to need a special lane to exercise.
"In the city, the speed seems a bit difficult because the speed requires a long and rather wide track. That's why it was only possible to think about it, maybe it could be made in another place, not the one now," said Pramono.
"If it is our sustenance, there must indeed be innovation, especially for road bike fans, who want to have a long track like in Bangkok, in Korea. I am sure to go around the airport airport airport, good idea like that," he added.

On the other hand, Pramono also promised to continue the addition of bicycle lanes in Jakarta. After Anies Baswedan's tenure as Governor of DKI Jakarta ended, bicycle lanes in Jakarta had been built for 313 kilometers.
"For something like this, we will continue the path that has been made by the DKI government, especially for friends who use folding bicycles or relaxed bicycles," he added.
