LSI Denny JA Survey: RIDO's Electability Wins Thin From Pramono-Rano

JAKARTA - The results of a recent survey from the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Denny JA show that the electability of the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) is narrowly superior with candidate pair Pramono Anung-Rano Karno in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"Ridwan Kamil-Suswono got 37.4 percent electability. A little ahead of Pramono Anung-Rano Karno's pair who got 37.1 percent," said LSI Director of the Public Policy Survey Circle (LSKP) Denny JA Sunarto Ciptoharjono as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 30.

He revealed that Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana's independent candidate pair won 4 percent.

However, Sunarto also noted that the results of the survey conducted by LSI Denny JA on October 16-22, 2024 showed that there were still 21.5 percent of respondents who had not made a choice.

If you look at the remaining campaign period, he assesses that the Jakarta Pilkada will remain competitive until the election time on November 27, 2024.

"This is a fight that is still bleeding, we'll see how the results end are. Because in the last month this will determine victory," he said.

Based on the results of the survey, LSI Denny JA found that the voters of the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair were dominated by people who chose the Gerindra, PAN, PSI, Perindo, Gelora and Garuda parties.

Meanwhile, in terms of popularity, Ridwan Kamil as a candidate for governor is the highest when compared to the other two governor candidates.

Ridwan Kamil's popularity as a candidate for governor is 97.8 percent. Far above Pramono Anung (58.3 percent) and Dharma Pongrekun (20 percent).

"Ridwan Kamil was photographed as the most preferred candidate for governor (74.1 percent)," said Sunarto.

He said the dynamics and situation of the Jakarta regional elections were more competitive than other regions.

The survey involved 800 respondents through the "multistage random sampling" method with a "margin of error" of approximately 3.5 percent.
