Homecoming Banned, Police Closely Guard 10 Entrances Of Solo City
SOLO - Surakarta City Police along with elements of the TNI and local government will closely guard a number of city entrance points related to supporting the ban on homecoming.
"We together with joint officers from the TNI, Police, Transportation Office, and City Health Office (DKK) Surakarta will conduct a sealing by keeping tight at least 10 points in and out of the city, especially private vehicles that will be homecoming," said the Head of Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas) Surakarta Police, Kompol Adhytia Warman Fautama Putra, in Solo quoted Antara, Wednesday, April 7.
According to Adhytia Warman at the points that will be guarded joint officers will be established Monitoring Post. Later when there is a private vehicle passing by the police number outside the city and indicated homecoming, then the officer will ask to turn around.
"We are when it is time to guard the entrance of the city related to the homecoming ban, still waiting for the technical instructions of the Police Headquarters, and the Mayor of Surakarta," he said.
Therefore, it asks for understanding from the public, because the Government still prohibits the implementation of homecoming to reduce the number of spread of COVID-19 cases. However, technically whether the traveler must show his/her identity such as Identity Card (KTP), will be discussed again with the city government.
Some points that need to get strict security from officers include Tugu Mahkota Karangasem, Banyuanyar toll exit, Kleco, Wax Monument, Tipes, Tanjung Anom, Ringroad Mojosongo, Jurug, Mojo Semanggi Bridge, Baturono Pasar Kliwon, and Kaliwingko Jayengan Solo brick.
"Officers to travelers who are directed back to turn around when entering the area is not only the destination of Solo City, but those who are homecoming with other district and city destinations," he said.
Joint officers for the homecoming ban will be on duty guarding at the Monitoring Post which is divided into several shifts, where they will be on guard for 24 hours throughout the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
In addition, it will also conduct patrols in the village lanes in Solo City, in anticipation if there are vehicles of travelers who are desperate to return home.
