How Is Megawati-Prabowo Meeting Plan? Puan: Just Waiting For The Right Time

JAKARTA - The plan to meet the General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has not been implemented. How is the next certainty?

PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani confirmed that the meeting between the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia and the General Chair of the Gerindra Party would certainly be held. However, they are still waiting for the available time

"Surely (meeting), God willing. Nothing is impossible. God willing, just wait for the right time," said Puan in Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 28.

Puan emphasized that the meeting of these two figures could not be represented by the elites of PDIP and Gerindra political parties. Thus, Megawati and Prabowo are still looking for time to meet.

Then, will the meeting, if it is held, be a sign that PDIP will close to the Prabowo-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government in the next five years? Puan did not answer clearly.

"Later we will talk about building the nation and state. Many are said, yes," said Puan.

Megawati-Prabowo's meeting has been one of the moments that the public has been waiting for since before Prabowo was sworn in as President last October 20. The meeting of these two figures is considered important and affects the politics of this country.

This meeting will become a high level political lobby and is expected to create reconciliation. After the post-presidential and legislative elections in 2024, which resulted in lawsuits at the Constitutional Court. The KPU finally stated that the election was won by Prabowo- Gibran. However, it is recognized that the event still leaves residue between the lower supporters. So that the public is waiting for their peace efforts.

According to the PDIP candidate, Guntur Romli, it is possible that the second meeting will be held before October 10. Regarding the meeting place, Guntur stated that he would be tried in a neutral place, not in Megawati's place because Megawati wanted to respect Prabowo, as the elected president.
