Hoax Swab Session At UMMI Hospital To Continue Next Week, Attorney Rizieq Prepares Questions To Witnesses
JAKARTA - Rizieq Shihab's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, stated that he would search the witnesses presented by the public prosecutor (JPU) with questions about the alleged spread of fake news and attempts to obstruct them. Rizieq's team of lawyers wants to show that the prosecution's charges are not proven.
"Especially for the UMMI Hospital (the charges) for broadcasting fake news and there are efforts to block HRS and Habib Hanif's accusations of overcoming (COVID-19) in Bogor City", Aziz told reporters, Wednesday, April 7.
Aziz said Rizieq Shihab's team of lawyers will also ask questions according to the capacity of the witnesses presented by the prosecutor. Of course, the question that was raised was referring to the investigation report (BAP).
"We are referring to the BAP and the elements of the BAP. We will compare it with the competence of the witnesses as well as with the witness's capacity", said Aziz.
"Because the possibility is that tomorrow there will be fact witnesses, so there will be no experts, so we can directly compare the charges and elements in the BAP", he continued.
Previously, the panel of judges decided to reject the objection or exception note from Rizieq Shihab and his team of attorneys. The case of the UMMI Hospital swab test results will continue to the witness examination stage.
