Rolling Out JKP For Victims Of Layoffs, DPR: What Is The Guarantee That Has Not Yet Worked?

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX DPR Fadholi questioned the implementation of the job loss guarantee program (JKP) for victims of termination of employment (PHK) which was discussed by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker). The reason is that there are still many people who have not got a job.

"Those who need job security are not only those who lose their jobs. Right now our workforce is very large. If we trace it now just looking for school is difficult, after school looking for a job is also more difficult," said Fadholi in a work meeting and hearing with the Minister of Manpower and Managing Director of BPJS TK at Commission IX DPR, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 7.

The Nasdem politician questioned the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah regarding the number of the workforce who have not got a job at this time. According to him, they also need to get job guarantees, not just those who lose their jobs.

"Related to that, what programs have been prepared in a concrete way. Because this is the focus of the Minister of Manpower. We can't just look for solutions to those who have been laid off. It's clear that there are still many questions," said Fadholi.

"Because this is part of the work sector, that's all those who have graduated from formal school since starting high school, especially now higher education. This is a lot and the majority of them are now a burden on their parents. Not to mention those who have not been able to work have asked for marriage. , "he added.

Because of that, the Central Java legislator asked the Minister of Manpower to make a grand design so that Indonesian people who enter the workforce can get a clear program.

"I am sure that Mrs. Ida is smart and resourceful. This is the reality we face. So there needs to be a picture and a concrete program for those who have not found a job and have never worked," said Fadholi.

Previously, the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said the government would immediately roll out the Job Loss Guarantee (JKP) program for workers affected by termination of employment (PHK).

"There are also forms of JKP program beneficiaries in the form of cash, access to job market information, and job training," he said.

To run the program, Ida asked the Social Security Administration (BPJS) for Employment (BP Jamsostek) to accelerate the data integration of the employment information system (Sisnaker).

The reason is, one of the requirements for the JKP program recipients are workers who are registered as BP Jamsostek participants.

"We have to make sure the JKP program is right on target. Therefore, data integration is needed, "said Ida
