The Palace Calls, Prabowo's Government Thinks On Farmers And Fishermen's Debt Solutions

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the government would think about solutions to the debts of farmers, fishermen as well as micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in banks.

"God willing, if it is for the benefit of farmers, MSMEs, we will definitely think about it," said Prasetyo after attending a cabinet retreat at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 27.

According to Pras, until now the government has not specifically discussed bad credit debt for farmers and fishermen in banking.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto reportedly planned to clear bad credit debt of at least six million farmers, fishermen, and MSMEs in banking, through the issuance of a presidential regulation regarding debt bleaching.

Debt decay is expected to reopen access for farmers, fishermen and MSMEs to bank financing.
