PWI South Kalimantan Receives 2025 HPN Budget From Local Government

Chairman of PWI South Kalimantan, Zainal Helmie, stated that he is ready to host the 2025 National Press Day (HPN) in his area, following the commitment given by the Acting Governor of South Kalimantan and his staff who have allocated grant funds in the 2025 APBD.

"Because it has been determined to host [HPN 2025], this has been followed up with the Acting Governor of South Kalimantan and has also been followed up with the Kominfo Service and followed up with the relevant section," Helmie said via zoom at the 2025 HPN Implementation Committee meeting chaired by the General Chairperson of the Central PWI Hendry Ch Bangun in Jakarta, Friday (25/10/2024).

Hendry said the appointment of South Kalimantan Province as the host of the 2025 HPN was decided at the 2nd National Working Conference (Konkernas) of PWI with the theme 'Caring for Togetherness Towards a Better PWI' in Banjarmasin which was attended by 30 provinces on August 21, 2024.

Helmie said that the South Kalimantan PWI had held a meeting with the Kominfo Service and received certainty that the grant budget had been included in the South Kalimantan Kominfo Service budget for the 2025 fiscal year. "Previously we had a meeting with the deputy chairman that whatever happened we would continue to prepare the 2025 HPN according to the results of the National Working Meeting in Banjarmasin," said Helmie.

According to the Chairman of the 2025 HPN Implementing Committee, Raja Parlindungan Pane, since South Kalimantan was appointed as the host of the 2025 HPN, his party has held several preparations both offline and online via zoom. In addition, the committee has carried out several preparations.

Raja said that in the near future Panpel will have a coordination meeting with the South Kalimantan Provincial Government, the regional committee, and the South Kalimantan PWI in Banjarmasin.

HPN 2025 carries the theme, New government, New spirit, Towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

According to Hendry, HPN refers to Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 5 of 1985 which was signed by President Suharto on January 23, 1985, which was the birthday of PWI on February 9.

Thus the implementation of HPN is PWI's work.

Hendry emphasized that the legitimate PWI was based on the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number: AHU-000946.AH.01.08 of 2024 dated July 9, 2024, led by Hendry Ch Bangun as General Chair and Iqbal Irsyad as Secretary General.
