Indomobil Bakal Rakit MPV Maxus Mifa 9, Here's Indonesia's MG Response
JAKARTA - PT Indomobil Energi Baru as the Singles Agent of Brand Holders (ATPM) from the Maxus brand in Indonesia, will certainly assemble the local Mifa 9 model.
The model will also be exhibited at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) exhibition which will take place on November 22 December 1, 2024 and will be held at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
"We are proud to be able to produce Maxus Mifa 9 in the country as part of our commitment to developing electric vehicles in Indonesia," said Chief Operating Officer of PT Indomobil Energi Baru Yudhy Tan, in an official statement received last October 25.
As is known, the model (Mifa 9) was exhibited by MG Motor Indonesia in IIMS 2023. In fact, some time ago the model was seen under the name MG M9 EV. Responding to Indomobil will produce local models, MG spoke up.

As is known, both Maxus and MG are owned by the same parent, namely SAIC Motor. He Guowei revealed that of course there are separate considerations from the SAIC Group regarding products and strategies for each market area.
"On the other hand, MG Indonesia will continue to present competitive products that are in accordance with the needs of the Indonesian people," he added.
Furthermore, he said, MG itself is currently in the market and demand study stage to present new products in the future for the Indonesian market.
"Of course we are in the market and demand study stage to bring new products in the future," he concluded.
