Attacked By Israel, Iran Closes Airspace, Four Civilian Planes Fly From Tehran
JAKARTA - Iran has closed its airspace, according to an official notice issued by its civil aviation authorities.
The airspace will be closed until Saturday, October 26 at 09.00 local time, according to the notice.
CNN reported that four civilian aircraft were seen starting to fly away from Iran's capital, Tehran, on the FlightRadar24 flight tracking site.
As previously reported, Israel's target of retaliation against Iran does not include energy infrastructure or nuclear facilities. The Israeli military is targeting Iranian military targets.
Israel's military source told CNN that the attack on Saturday, October 26, on Iran was 100 percent carried out by Israel, but there is still cooperation with the United States, including in the air defense.
Israel's officials, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, assured the United States that the retaliatory attacks on Iran would be limited to military targets and not to oil or nuclear facilities, according to sources familiar with the discussions.
