SOEs Ready To Provide Financing Distribution To Increase MSMEs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of SOEs is ready to provide financing distribution for the economic improvement of MSME actors.

"One of the mission from development and development agents is with real support through financing, and SOEs have a Himbara Bank. From this, SOEs are certainly ready to support financing for increasing MSMEs," said Expert Staff for Finance and Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Loto Srinaita Ginting quoting Antara.

The activity which presented more than 80 MSME players was held at the Trans Studio Makassar Atrium Mall, 24-27 October 2024.

Loto emphasized that financing institutions need to channel budgets for MSMEs, it's just that MSMEs are considered to need to be educated regarding commitments to financing, considering that there is not a small amount of financing managed by MSMEs that are stuck so that trust fades and then no longer obtains additional capital for MSMEs.

"MSMEs must also build reputation, not traffic jams, because later it will be difficult to get further financing," said Loto.

Collaboration, said Loto, is also one of the important things in the development of MSMEs, especially in providing financial literacy education so that people avoid legal entanglement.

"Financial literacy is important, don't get caught in illegal online loans, let alone financing can synergize with SOEs," he said.

Regarding collaboration for the improvement and development of MSMEs, support for marketing expansion is considered to be highly anticipated by MSMEs so that in 2020 the Ministry of Cooperatives will launch the MSME PADI as one of the platforms that is a forum for the marketing of MSMEs.

At least 93 state-owned companies have participated in the MSME PADI. MSME actors always carry out business matching so that people are more interested and proud to use MSME products.
