BTN's Firm Commitment, Protecting Customer's Personal Data
JAKARTA - BTN has a strong commitment to protect customer data and information confidentiality in accordance with Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection. President Director of BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu emphasized that BTN has a moral responsibility in managing and protecting customer personal data and other confidential information.
"BTN is required to always be vigilant and careful in processing and protecting customers' personal data in the implementation of daily business and operational activities. This is very important for the company to avoid cyber attacks and losses that will arise due to violations of personal data," said Nixon LP Napitupulu. BTN's commitment and seriousness are not kidding. Extra steps were taken in mitigating the management and use of customer personal data through the signing of the Cooperation Agreement and Sharing Session with the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration at the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia, Thursday, October 24, 2024.
On this occasion, Narendra Jatna as JAMDATUN conveyed that protection of personal data is one of the human rights that must be protected by all parties, including by the banking industry.
The existence of a commitment from the banking industry to protect customer personal data is one of the risk mitigation efforts in the implementation of the business judgment rule which in the end can have a positive impact in the form of increasing customer confidence.
