Mitsubishi Introduces DST Concept In The Philippines, Starting To Be Produced Next Year

JAKARTA - Japanese automotive manufacturer Mitsubishi inaugurated its debut from the DST Concept at the recent Philippines International Motor Show 2024.

DST Concept is the forerunner of Mitsubishi's future model in the midsize SUV class which will be marketed in Southeast Asia. This follows the success of brands in launching XFC Concept which is the basis of Xforce and XRT Concept in the new generation of Triton.

Mitsubishi Motors President and Chief Executive Offcer, Takao Kato said this model will be a manifestation of a new three-line SUV that will be launched in several markets, especially Southeast Asia starting in 2025.

The Mitsubishi DST Concept is the embodiment of a new three-line SUV that will be launched during our current medium-term business plan, Challenge 2025, and its production vehicles will be launched primarily in the ASEAN region including the Philippines starting in the 2025 fiscal year," Kato said on the manufacturer's official website, Friday, October 25.

This concept offers a more modern, tough, but still offers driving comfort for passengers and drivers.

Carrying the design language Gravitas & Dynamism', this presents an extraordinary level of solidity with a sophisticated form and offers a wide space for a third row seat. The manufacturer with the logo of the 'three diamonds' designs the form of the front nose with a slim and strong so that it gives an impression of authoritativeity.

The flexibility in the cabin room is confirmed by blackening all pillars and enveloping the cabin with a smooth circular window, while the rich back surface further reinforces its tough presence.

Dynamic elements are also emitted on large diameter tires and high ground clearance, offering maneuverability and top level as an SUV.

Front and rear teams that stand out on tires such as the muscles of a trained athlete show the strong durability and road control of an SUV. In addition, the side guard and large slip plates on the front and back show protective and sturdy impressions.

The interior features a wide and classy cabin room so that all passengers have different comforts. The instrument panel is wrapped in top-class soft material that emits premium nuances, combined with a door trim in a dynamical form that creates the impression of broad openness.

Also presented is a panoramic sunset that allows users to see the sky and the sun from inside the cabin.

The DST Concept also offers five driving modes that can be selected according to conditions, consisting of Wet, Tarmac, Normal, Gravel, and Mud.

This car performance is supported by the driving of the front wheel (FWD), but can pass through various weather and terrain to ensure the convenience of its users.
