Fleeing After Abusing An Underage Girl, Residents Burned The House Of Guru N Qur'an In Garut
JAKARTA - The Garut Police are still looking for a Koran teacher who is reported to have committed immoral acts against his student, an underage girl in Cilawu District, Garut Regency, West Java.
"The perpetrator of sexual immorality is not at home, in search," said the Head of the Public Relations Sub Division of the Garut Police, Ipda Muslih Hidayat, quoted by Antara in Garut, Tuesday, April 5.
He said that the immoral act by the Koran teacher triggered the anger of residents who burst into flames by burning the semi-permanent house which was used as a recitation place in Dangiang Village, Cilawu District, Garut, Monday, April 5 evening.
A number of police and TNI, said Muslih, went straight to the scene, then looked for the Koran teacher with the initials RS (41), who was known to be no longer in the village.
Furthermore, the victim's parents reported the alleged immorality by the Koran teacher to the police and the case was handled by the Garut Police Women's and Children Protection Unit.
"The person (the perpetrator) escaped, the victim's parents just reported it to the SPKT at 10.00 WIB," said Muslih.
He conveyed that the burning of the semi-permanent building was the spontaneity of the residents who were annoyed at the Koran teacher because he was suspected of having committed immoral acts.
The suspicion of immorality, said Muslih, arose because the victim told her parents about her bitter experience, then the victim's family and other residents showed their frustration by visiting the house of the reciting teacher.
"These residents have been suspicious for a long time, but only got evidence from what the victim said yesterday (Monday) night," he said. The case is currently being handled by the Garut Police Satreskrim PPA Unit and the victim has been questioned
