The Attorney General's Office Opens The Possibility Of Determining Ronald Tannur Or His Family As A Suspect In Hakoim Bribery

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) opens the opportunity to name Ronald Tannur or his family as suspects for giving bribes related to the acquittal in the murder case of Dini Sera Afriyanti.

The Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office, Abdul Qohar, said that this possibility could occur as long as sufficient evidence was found during the investigation process.

"Of course we cross-check. Of course we classify it, based on the available evidence. If sufficient evidence is found later that the money is from Ronald Tanur or his family, we will determine it as a suspect," Qohar told reporters, Wednesday, October 23.

So far, investigators have pocketed evidence if the suspect, Lisa Rahmat, who is Ronald Tannur's lawyer, bribed three judges at the Surabaya District Court under orders.

Allegedly, the evidence in question is Lisa Rahmat's cellphone which contains communication with the person who gave the order.

"We already have evidence," he said.

However, investigators will still look for additional evidence. That way the figure who gave the bribe order could not escape.

"Later on, we will reveal it. This is not yet the stage. Be patient. What is certain is to give us the opportunity to work. Give us the opportunity to explore further who the parties are involved in this case," said Qohar.

For information, three judges who received bribes and were also named as suspects, namely Erintuah Damanik, Mangapul, and Heru Hanindyo.

They were charged with Article 5 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 6 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 12 letter c of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Meanwhile, Lisa Rahmat was charged with Article 5 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 6 paragraph 1 letter A of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
