Catholic Sisters Join Fashion Show, Swaying On The Red Carpet Carrying Viral Message Of Tolerance! Check The Facts

JAKARTA - Recently, social media was shocked by a photo showing 2 Catholic nuns walking on a red carpet. In the caption of the photo, the nurse is participating in a fashion show that carries a message of tolerance in Indonesia.

"A MODEL OF TELORNATION BETWEEN RELIGIOUS PEOPLE," read the message from the uploader on the Facebook page @Mas AU.

Seen in the photo, there is a red carpet spread out as a pedestal like a fashion show.

VOI traced the accuracy of this information on the turnbackhoax.id website, Tuesday, April 6. In fact, this information is a hoax.

"The image was immortalized when two Catholic nuns attended the invitation to the 73rd Harlah of the Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Senayan Jakarta, Sunday, January 27, 2019," the website explained.

In the explanation of the website it is stated that the upload has received 248 reactions, 88 comments and 11 shares by other Facebook users.

After tracing, the image claim is false. In fact, this image was immortalized when two Catholic nuns attended the invitation to the 73rd Harlah of Muslimat NU at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Senayan Jakarta.

As is known, Muslimat Nu held the 73rd Harlah at the GBK Main Stadium on January 27, 2019 with the theme Khidmah Muslimat NU, keep aswaja, strengthen the nation.

It was attended by hundreds of thousands of NU residents from various regions in Indonesia and also attended by President Joko Widodo and several ministers and ambassadors from friendly countries.

"Thus, the image claim on Mas AU's Facebook account is untrue and is included in the wrong content category," said turnbackhoax.id
