Sumber Selamat Bus 'Bullfighting' In Ngawi, 6 Injured People, Ringsek Bus Body

NGAWI - An accident involving the Sumber Selamat bus and the Mira bus occurred on the Ngawi-Solo Route, in Banjarejo Village, Ngawi Regency, East Java.

As a result of the two bus accidents, six people were injured and were evacuated to the nearest hospital.

Head of Traffic Unit for Ngawi Police, AKP Rizky Fardian, explained that the accident occurred when the Sumber Selamat bus overtook a vehicle that was traveling in front of him. At the same time, there was a Mira bus going in the opposite direction.

"Due to the short distance, the two buses collided on the right front," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 6.

Mira bus driver and Sumber Selamat bus driver were injured in the incident. In addition, two passengers from each bus were also reported injured.

The police stated that there was no death victim in the incident and all injured victims had been evacuated to a hospital in Ngawi District.

The traffic flow on the Ngawi-Solo arterial line had been choked up due to the accident, but gradually returned to normal after local police officers managed to move the bus wreck to the side of the road.

The accident case is now being handled by the Ngawi Police for further investigation.
