Youth Elite Sport Center, 2028 Olympic Preparation Support
The Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center will be a supporting facility for the preparation of Indonesian athletes to face the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, United States.
The strategic project that works on facilities from the eight sports is currently still under construction. The target is to complete in December 2024 or miss two months from what was supposed to be completed in October 2024.
The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo, said that the facilities in this place are world standard for all priority branches of the Olympics.
"So, of course, this is used for young athletes and national athletes. So, we are pursuing how to get to the 2028 Olympics," said Dito while reviewing the location on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, afternoon WIB.

The eight sports that have facilities on an area of eight hectares are gymnastics, weightlifting, martial arts, swimming, archery, badminton, football, and rock climbing.
Dito revealed that in addition to sports facilities that are complete with international standards, this place will also be equipped with various other supporting facilities.
"In fact, there are facilities next to the sports hospital. It is located next to the sport science. So, the Cibubur complex is modified and maximized functionally," he said.
Dito, who previously served as Minister of Youth and Sports in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet during the era of President Joko Widodo, again won the trust of President Prabowo Subianto in the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024-2029 term of service.
In carrying out his duties, the politician from the Golkar Party will be assisted by Taufik Hidayat in the position of Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports.
The presence of the badminton legend is expected to help improve Indonesia's achievements at the international level.
One of the big targets carried out by the two names was to bring Indonesia to get more than two gold medals at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
So far Indonesia's best achievements at the Olympics are two gold medals in two different editions, each at the recent 1992 Barcelona and Paris 2024 Olympics.
