South Konawe Kejari Suspends Detention Of Honorary Teachers At SDN 4 Baito Which Went Viral
KENDARI - The District Attorney (Kejari) of South Konawe (Konsel), Southeast Sulawesi, suspended the detention of an honorary teacher at State Elementary School (SDN) 4 Baito, South Konawe Regency, Supriyani, which went viral on social media.
Head of Section (Kasi) of Intelligence at the South Sumatra Kejari, Teguh Oki Tribowo, said that the suspension of Supriyani was the result of coordination with the Andoolo District Court.
"The implementation of the decision of the District Court judge Andoolo regarding the suspension of the detention of honorary teachers at SDN 4 Baito has been carried out today by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the South Jakarta Kejari," Teguh said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 22.
He said that the handling of the case against Supriyani would also continue to be forwarded to the trial to find the material truth of the case.
"The Public Prosecutor (Public Prosecutor) will also consider all aspects in prosecution in the future," he said.
The suspension of detention was based on the Special Power of Attorney Number 048/LBH-HAMI-Konsel/X/2024 on October 20, 2024 by submitting an Application for Suspension of Detention Number 050/LBH-HAMI-Consel/X/2024 which was issued on October 21, 2024.
In the petition, there were several considerations, namely Supriyani, who still has a toddler who needs intense attention and care.
Supriyani is also still active as a teacher at SDN 4 Baito and still has to fulfill her obligations in guiding her students.
Based on these considerations, there is sufficient reason to grant Supriyani's request for a suspension of detention by taking into account Article 31 paragraph (1) of Law Number 8 of 1981 concerning criminal procedural law.
