Police Arrest Iranian Citizen Smuggling 4.4 Kilo Methamphetamine In Keramic Package Mode
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested Hadi Mohseni, a foreign national (WNA) from Iran. The arrest was related to the smuggling of 4.4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
"An Iranian foreigner has been arrested with evidence of 4.390 grams or 4.4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said Director of Drug Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, Tuesday, October 22.
In an effort to smuggle the suspect Hadi Mohseni with the mode disguised as a package containing ceramics sent from Dubai.
At least two ceramics were tucked in the 4.4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine package.
"The modus operandi of methamphetamine evidence is camouflaged like ceramic or marble slabs. The methamphetamine is sent through an expedition service from Dubai UAE and then a control delivery is carried out to capture the recipient," he said.
Regarding the arrest of Hadi Mohseni, it began when the police received information about drug smuggling from abroad.
Information obtained, smuggling using expedition services. Thus, the police explored the information.
"Based on this information, the team then coordinated with related parties to control the delivery to the recipients," he said.

Until finally, the information was proven. Precisely on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the methamphetamine package was delivered by the exception officer to the address of the recipient, precisely at the Zia Sanno Hotel, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
"When the expedition officer handed over the package to the recipient on behalf of Hadi Mohseni and when in front of the hotel lobby, the arrests were made and the packages received were confiscated as evidence," said Donald.
