Mikel Arteta Disappointed With The Discipline Of Arsenal Players
JAKARTA - Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could not hide his disappointment after his troops lost 0-2 at Bournemouth headquarters on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Arteta menggambarkan bahwa laga itu seperti menunggu petaka menunggu terjadi setelah William Saliba dikeluarkan pada babak pertama.
Bournemouth won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert after Saliba was given a red card for violating Evanilson after 30 minutes of the game.
This is the third time this season Arsenal have been forced to finish the game with 10 players. This clearly frustrated Arteta due to his team's lack of discipline which cost him points.
"We are clearly very disappointed with this result and disappointed that we have to play again like that."

"This time is even more difficult than the previous two games we faced this season. Playing 65 or 68 minutes with 10 players at this level is an impossible task."
"This is a disaster waiting to happen, not to get points. I can't blame the team for their efforts, their commitments, how smart they are to play in the way we have to be," Arteta said as reported by ESPN.
The same thing happened when Declan Rice was kicked off the pitch against Brighton. Luckily, the Gunners avoided defeat and won a point after the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Then, Arsenal returned to play with 10 people when Leandro Trossard got a red card against strong rivals Manchester City. Again, they can be free from defeat after the match ends in a 2-2 draw.
Bournemouth's defeat was the first of the season when Arsenal played with 10 players. At the same time, it was the Gunners' first defeat in the 2024/2025 Premier League from eight matches that have been played.
Apart from that, Arsenal will host Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
