Rieke Highlights Prabowo's Commitment To Being Loyal To The Constitution: Not For Personal Interests
JAKARTA - There is a lot of hope for DPR members for the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. Like Rieke Diah Pitaloka, which emphasizes Prabowo's commitment to bringing his government to be loyal to the state constitution.
This was conveyed by Rieke after attending the inauguration of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran at the MPR Plenary Session at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10/2024) yesterday.
"Congratulations to President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka who have been inaugurated, hopefully we can fight together in accordance with the constitutional mandate," said Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Rieke Diah Pitaloka after Prabowo-Gibran's inauguration.
Rieke also highlighted several things that Prabowo conveyed in his inaugural speech as President of Indonesia, especially regarding loyalty to the constitution which is very important.
"It has been mentioned many times by the elected president about loyalty to the constitution, it is important. In his first speech as a state speech, the president is loyalty to the constitution and as much as possible to fight for not the interests of yourself, family or group groups," he explained.
Rieke also welcomed Prabowo's commitment to commit to defending the 1945 Constitution and other state constitutions in an effort to serve the nation and state. He said that loyalty to the constitution must indeed be carried out by policy makers in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution.
"The elected president reminded us that in the future, God willing, we can truly be consistent with fighting for the people of the nation and state as fairly as possible," said Rieke.
Furthermore, Rieke hopes that Prabowo and his cabinet and also with the DPR can do more concrete work.
"We have the same vision, which is mandated by the opening of the 1945 Constitution. Our mission is to unite in a just and prosperous manner. The mission must also not change," he said.
The mission referred to by Rieke is stated in the opening of the 1945 Constitution, namely the Government of the Republic of Indonesia must protect the entire Indonesian nation and all of Indonesia's bloodshed, advance public welfare, educate the nation's life, and participate in implementing world order, based on independence, eternal peace and social justice.
Therefore, Rieke asked the public to take note of the oath of office carried out by Prabowo-Gibran as the current government leader. Of course, the same applies to members of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the period 2024-2029 which was inaugurated on October 1.
"We hope that the oath of office will not be an oath to each other, but that oath of office we can do as well as possible," said Rieke.
According to the legislator from the West Java VII electoral district, the oath of office is a sacred thing as part of the policy maker's promise to work well because it has officially bears the mandate and great responsibility to the people. Rieke hopes that the community will participate in overseeing the performance of the Government and the DPR.
"Precision to the constitution and laws and regulations is important not only to be pronounced but God willing, we can fight for each other. It is recorded that the oath of office is all of us," he said.
Rieke himself admitted that he could not wait to work effectively after the board equipment (AKD) was formed. For the formation of the AKD, the DPR previously awaited the formation of a Prabowo government cabinet to adjust partners in each commission.
After Prabowo officially formed his cabinet, the DPR has decided today to determine the work sector of AKD, including for 2 additional new commissions. The formation of the AKD will officially be set at the Plenary Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday (22/10).
"Although the commissions have not yet been formed, our salaries and allowances are running. It's not good to talk about. Therefore, I still do some legislative political work and supervisory politics of course," explained Rieke.
Rieke pun merinci sejumlah isu yang masih menjadi PR besar di negara ini untuk ditangani pemerintah bersama DPR, khususnya dalam hal-hal yang berhubungan langsung dengan kesejahteraan rakyat.
According to him, the main thing that is most important to fix is related to the fulfillment of people's rights to food and clothing, education, empowerment, work, health, social security, social life, legal and human rights protection, infrastructure and a good environment.
So Rieke advised the ranks of the Prabowo government to use precise data when making programs and policies.
"So that all programs are not wrong, the APBN, which is approximately 3000 trillion per year, can be right on target if the data used by the state is accurate based on village data," he explained.
Rieke also emphasized that it is time for Indonesia to be free from corruption, collusion and nepotism as Prabowo's commitment as one of the efforts to build the nation.
"Also President Prabowo has been reminded that everything can work if corruption of collusion and nepotism is eradicated. Yes, I hope this will be our commitment," concluded Rieke.
