Become Minister Of KP Again, Trenggono Ready To Step On Gas In Prabowo's Government

JAKARTA - Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono said that he would immediately carry out his work quickly and accurately or step on the gas, to achieve the target of his ministry's work program in the period 2024-2029.

Sakti Wahyu Trenggono was officially re-inducted as Minister of KP by President Prabowo Subianto today, Monday, and is included in the ranks of the Red and White cabinet for the period 2024-2029.

"If I am given the trust again, step on the gas, start engines to immediately advance," Trenggono said at the Press Conference of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries 2024-2029 quoting Antara.

He ensured that he would be committed to supporting the food security program and energy security carried by President Prabowo Subianto.

"So, in my opinion, if the 100-day program is for new ministers, I'm still a new minister but old stock," said Trenggono.

Under his previous leadership, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has five priority programs for the Blue Economy Policy to reach Indonesia Gold 2024.

These programs include, among them, first, expanding marine conservation areas, and second, handling measurable fish based on quota.

Third, sustainable development of aquaculture in the sea, sand, and land, and fourth, supervision and control of coastal areas and small islands.

Then, the fifth next program is cleaning up plastic waste at sea through the fishermen's participation movement.

Trenggono is committed to always prioritizing ecology in addition to economic utilization in this sector, where the Blue Economy program will continue to be implemented during the new government.
