Supporting Prabowo-Gibran's Government, Dekopin Gives 7 Recommendations For The Realization Of Indonesian Cooperatives As A National Economic System
JAKARTA - The National Leadership Meeting of the Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopin) which was held at the Aron Suites Hotel Kemang Jakarta, on 12-13 October 2024 decided to support the government leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka for the period 2024-2029.
"Of course, it is hoped that the Prabowo-Gibran government can realize the values and principles of the Indonesian Cooperative as the nation's economic system as mandated by Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution," said Deputy Chairman of Dekopin, Robby Ferliansyah Asshiddiqie in a statement received on Sunday, October 20.
According to Robby, the meeting also recommended the following: 1. The Minister of Cooperatives who will be appointed by the President should be people who have a clear track record in the cooperative movement, both as leaders, drivers and supervisors of cooperatives.
2. The Minister of Cooperatives appointed by the President should facilitate the implementation of the Dekopin Deliberative Assembly in November 2024 or before the end of 2024.
3. Continue to realize the Indonesian Cooperative Council as a single forum for the struggle of the Indonesian cooperative movement and government partners.
4. Request to the Prabowo-Gibran government to realize the values and principles of cooperatives as a system of the nation's economy through: a. The establishment of the National Economic System Act. b. Acceleration of Discussion and Ratification of the Third Amendment to Law No. 25/1992 before National Cooperative Day 12 July 2025 in accordance with the spirit of Draft Bill prepared by the Indonesian Cooperative Council. c. Realizing the role between the Government, the Indonesian Cooperatives Council and the Indonesian Cooperative Movement in the development of Indonesian Cooperatives with division, the government as regulator and protector of development in the development of Indonesian Cooperatives. Then, the Indonesian Cooperative Council as the advocate, educator and facilitator of the development of Indonesian Cooperatives and the cooperative movement as the main actor in the development of Indonesian cooperatives.D. The birth of economic development policies that creates a fair condition situation to equalize the position of cooperatives as national economy actors is just as honorable and parallel to economic actors outside cooperatives.
5. The Ministry of Cooperatives together with Dekopin are fighting for the formation of: a. The cooperative education/institutions and training as a forum for regeneration which also functions as a value enforcement agency and the principles of cooperatives at the national, provincial and district/city levels whose financing comes from part of the education budget mandated by the 1945 Constitution. b. The cooperative's savings and loan control agency.c. cooperative member guarantee.
