Ebenezer The Musical Charity Performance Successfully Held IPEKA, Attended By 4,500 Spectators

JAKARTA The Foundation of Iman, Hope and Love (IPEKA) celebrates the peak of its 45th birthday (HUT) by holding a musical drama stage titled "Ebenezer The Musical". This charity event was held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Istora Senayan and was attended by around 4,500 spectators.

The theme Ebenezer symbolizes IPEKA's gratitude for the 45 years of participation and blessings that have been received throughout IPEKA's journey. Through this stage, we hope to provide a forum for students, teachers, and staff to channel their talents and interests," said IPEKA National School Director and General Chair of Ebenezer The Musical, Esther Iriana.

Ebenezer The Musical's charity management is supported by a total of 450 performers consisting of students, teachers, and employees from all IPEKA Christian School locations. Preparations for the Ebenezer The Musical stage have gone through a long and intensive process, involving hundreds of hours of training and creative collaboration from the entire production team.

The proceeds from ticket sales from this charity stage will be fully distributed to support the improvement of educational infrastructure at SMAS Kristen Waikabubak, West Sumba and SD Kristen Banyumas, Central Java.

Various talents from IPEKA students, such as Orchestra, Band, Choir, Dance, and Theater, are presented in Ebenezer The Musical. At this musical drama performance, IPEKA's extended family together gave thanks and strengthened the spirit of togetherness.

The story in Ebenezer The Musical tells the story of the journey of a high school student named Erika, who struggles with a severe life pressure. Pinned by the hopes of her parents and school demands, she almost gave up. But even in the midst of the darkest times, God was always there for her to stick to Him in an unexpected way.

Ebenezer The Musical is produced and directed by Rev. Joseph Moris, someone who devotes himself to the arts and theology. Several of the previous Pdp. Joseph Moris theater works include Violet: Different Colors (2023), Sesak! (2023), and Idealita (2023).

This charity is a celebration of the talents of IPEKA students and our commitment to support Christian education. Hopefully IPEKA will continue to grow and develop, be a blessing for the advancement of education in Indonesia, and inspire the younger generation to continue working. " concluded Esther Iriana.
