Amitabh Bachchan And Deepika Padukone Compete For Roles For The Indian Version Of The Intern
JAKARTA - Actor Amitabh Bachchan will compete with Deepika Padukone for a remake of the Indian version of The Intern. The Intern is a 2015 Nancy Meyers film that follows a female shopping site CEO who hires a 70-year-old widower as an intern.
The original film had a success of US $ 195 million when it was first shown. Its hilarious but interesting story makes The Intern a pop culture film.
Bachchan will play the character Robert De Niro while Padukone will be playing the role of Anne Hathaway. The two of them will make friends and find life lessons.
Amitabh Bachchan replaces Rishi Kapoor who was originally asked to be the character Niro. However, Rishi Kapoor passed away in April 2020.
The Intern is Bachchan's newest project after Gulabo Sitabo which aired on Amazon Prime in 2020. The Indian version of The Intern was directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Sunir Kheterpal and Deepika Padukone.
This film was made by Warner Bros production house India and Athena. The plan, the production process will begin in November. The film, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, is scheduled to air starting in the summer of 2022.
