Mayor of Solo Gibran Releases SE: Ban Breaking The Fast Together And Sahur On The Road In Solo

SOLO - Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka issued a Circular (SE) regulating restrictions on activities during this year's fasting month. One of them is related to the implementation of the tarawih prayer.

In the letter, according to Gibran, tarawih prayers could only be performed at the local mosque.

"Some of the regulations, such as restrictions on entertainment venues in the first and last week of Ramadan, rules for tarawih prayers only at local mosques", said Gibran Rakabuming when giving directions to the ranks of Heads of Sub-districts throughout Surakarta City, Monday, April 5 yesterday.

Apart from tarawih prayers, the implementation of Sahur on the road until breaking the fast together (Bukber) which is identical to welcoming the holy month of Ramadan is also prohibited.

"Breaking together is prohibited, Sahur on the road is not allowed, for those who sell takjil (snack for bukber) we do not prohibit it, but it is limited from 1 pm to 6:30 pm with merchandise that has been packaged from home", said Gibran.

The emergence of these various restrictions is to support the vaccination program that has been implemented in Solo. The eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wants the vaccination program not to be useless.

Besides, Gibran wants the heads of sub-districts and village heads to be able to provide socialization to the community, including the elderly so that they want to be vaccinated.

"The Head of the Village Office must continue to provide understanding so that the elderly want to be vaccinated. I am sure that if the people are healthy, the economy will recover quickly, ”he explained.

He also explained so that people who have not received the vaccine need not be afraid because vaccination will build group immunity. If someone has had the vaccine, then other people will also get protection.

"This vaccination is for mutual protection. If around us have been vaccinated, then we will also be protected", said Gibran as reported by Surakarta.go.id.
