SBY Attends Prabowo-Gibran Inauguration At The MPR Building, AHY: To Support His Friends
JAKARTA - The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was present at the plenary session of the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, October 20.
Based on VOI's monitoring at the location, SBY arrived at around 07.40 WIB. SBY was seen wearing a blue suit and tie and a black cap.
SBY came accompanied by his son who is also Deputy Chairman of the MPR from the Democratic Party, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono or Ibas and Secretary General of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky Harsya.
Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said SBY was present in person to witness Prabowo being inaugurated, as support for his fellow friends.
"Mr. SBY was present in person at this historic moment and he really intended to be able to provide support to his friend, Mr. Prabowo Subianto," said AHY at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, October 20.
"Those who from time to time also always discuss, have a dialogue, of course as fellow figures and statesmen are very good if they can share their experiences views and everything must be dedicated to Indonesia's progress," he continued.
It is known that the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly will hold a Plenary Session for the inauguration of the President and Vice President-elect 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
