Hasto Confirms Megawati's Instructions For PDIP Cadres To Attend Prabowo's Inauguration - Gibran
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto, confirmed that there was direct instructions from PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to her cadres in the legislature to attend the Inauguration of the President and Elected Vice President Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Sunday (20/10).
"Yes, indeed, Mrs. Mega has issued direct instructions that all members of the legislature from the PDI-P are prohibited from leaving the city and all must be present in a constitutional process related to the inauguration of Mr. Prabowo as President," said Hasto in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.
He emphasized that PDIP really respects the inauguration of President and Vice President Prabowo- Gibran even though Megawati was unable to attend.
"This is a state momentum that is also respected by the PDI-P," he said, as quoted by Antara.
Hasto also revealed that Megawati's condition had flu after a working visit abroad, Russia and Uzbekistan.
"As we saw yesterday when Mrs. Mega was present at my doctoral promotion, she also wore a mask, because after returning from Russia, Uzbekistan then saw such great pollution, and then some kind of dust allergy. (So flu) like that, "explained Hasto.

Although not going to attend Prabowo-Gibran's inauguration, Megawati still took the time to receive guests from other countries, who asked for time to meet him today.
The guests came to Indonesia to attend the inauguration of Prabowo- Gibran. However, some of them wanted to meet Megawati first.
"Then Mrs. Mega also received many state guests who attended the inauguration ceremony," he said.
Therefore, Hasto stated that Megawati's presence would be represented by Puan Maharani as the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives for PDIP as a form of respect.
"Therefore, the presence of Mrs. Mega will be represented by Mbak Puan Maharani as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives and also a representation of all members of the legislature from the PDI-P," he concluded.
